Privacy policy
Version 2026-09-23-beta. Hyperdrive is in beta. It is free while it is, and some of it is still being built.
Who is responsible
Hyperdrive (legal entity name and registered address to be confirmed). Questions go to hello@hyperdrive.life.
What we collect, and why
When you sign up: your store name, the address you choose, your email, your plan and number of locations, and that you agreed to the terms (and when). We need these to create your store and to contact you about it.
When you use Hyperdrive: whatever you and your staff put in — products, stock, sales, and your customers’ names and contact details if you record them. That is your business’s data; we hold it so the system works, and for no other purpose.
When something goes wrong: technical logs that say what the system did, which can include the email of the staff member who was signed in. We keep these to fix faults.
Where it is kept
On Amazon Web Services in the United States. Each shop’s data is in its own database and its own photo folder, separate from every other shop’s.
Who can see it
You and the people you give logins to. The people who run Hyperdrive, when supporting you or fixing a fault. Amazon, as the company whose computers hold it. Shopify or Lightspeed, only if you connect them, and only what that connection needs. Nobody else. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your customers
If you record your customers’ details in Hyperdrive, you are responsible for telling them and for using those details lawfully. We hold them on your behalf and do nothing with them except keep them for you.
How long
For as long as you have a store. When your store closes, your data stays available to export for 30 days and is then deleted, apart from records we must keep by law.
Your rights
You can export your data at any time, ask us to correct something, or ask us to delete your store. Email us and we will do it.
Cookies
Only the ones needed to keep you signed in. No tracking, no advertising cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the version at the top changes and we email the owner. The Terms of Service say more about your account.
