Terms of service
Version 2026-09-23-beta. Hyperdrive is in beta. It is free while it is, and some of it is still being built.
Who we are
“Hyperdrive”, “we” and “us” mean Hyperdrive (legal entity name and registered address to be confirmed). “You” means the business that signs up, and the people it lets sign in.
What Hyperdrive is
A point-of-sale and stock system for shops, provided over the internet at an address of your choosing under hyperdrive.life. It rings up sales, tracks stock across your locations, and can connect to Shopify and bring in data from Lightspeed.
Your account
You must give a real email address for the owner. You are responsible for who you give logins to and for what they do with them. Keep passwords and PINs to yourself; tell us at once if you think one has got out.
The beta, and what it costs
During the beta, Hyperdrive is free. We do not take a card and we will not charge you without asking first. When the beta ends we will tell you the price and give you at least 30 days to decide; if you do not continue, you can export your data and your store is closed.
Being a beta, some features are unfinished and things will occasionally go wrong. We work hard on it, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your own records of sales and stock as well, as any careful shop does.
Your data is yours
Everything you put into Hyperdrive — your products, stock, customers and sales — belongs to you. We store it and keep it separate from every other shop’s. We do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone except the services that run Hyperdrive, and Shopify or Lightspeed only if you connect them yourself. You can export it at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
What you may not do
Use Hyperdrive for anything unlawful; try to reach another shop’s data; or try to break, overload or copy the service. If you do, we may close your account.
Ending
You can stop at any time by telling us; we keep your data available to export for 30 days afterwards, then delete it. We may end the beta, or your use of it, with reasonable notice and the same 30 days to export, unless you have broken these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Hyperdrive is provided as it is during the beta, and we are not liable for lost sales, lost data or other loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may change these terms. If we do, the version number at the top changes and we email the owner. Continuing to use Hyperdrive after that means you accept the new version.
